Technical Skills and Equipment:
Sculpture: Foundry techniques including lost wax investment, sand molds, shell molds, bronze, aluminum, copper and iron pouring methods. Welding and metal fabrication, wood working machines, carving, mold making, plaster and related materials. Most power and hand tools.
Ceramics: Electric, Raku and gas kiln building, construction and firing, clay body mixing, glaze mixing, handbuilding, wheel throwing small and large scale.
Jewelry: Soldering, cutting, stone setting, lapidary, enameling, casting, wax carving, wax injection, mold-making, chasing and repose, forging, buffing, polishing and engraving.
Photography: Specializing in Pinhole photography and alternative printing processes such as Van Dyke and Cyanotype. Instruction of basic black and white darkroom techniques, developing and printing skills. Expert at taking slides of three dimensional arts.
3-D Design: Instruction of principals and elements of design, structure, volume, modules, balance, texture.
